The MDS Nurse/Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and capturing appropriate RUG levels.
Maintain MDS's as dictated by State and Federal guidelines.
The Assessment Nurse must report to work on time in order to devote at least one hour to Morning Start-Up procedures and use the facility ADON Daily Start-Up form to document findings
Review and sign acute care plans completed by charge nurses
Check lnfection Control Surveillance Data. Verify that the form has been completed per policy and that it is reflected on the 24-Hour Report
Complete Quarterly Risk Assessment Forms as appropriate
Maintain Reimbursement Binders with completed soft files for Medicaid, Medicaid Pending, Medicare and Managed Care assessments.
Ensure Level I PASARR and Privacy Notices are complete for each admission and re-admission.
Print Quality lndicators upon completion of each MDS.
Highlight tasks off desk calendar as tasks are completed.
Complete LTCMIs per regulations and State requirements
Must possess a valid Texas RN license.
RUG certified is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursements
